Ingredients
1 bunch of asparagus – approximately 30 spears
1 lemon (a few wedges)
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
2 tsp canola oil
1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper
Optional: fresh grated parmesan and toasted sliced almonds to garnish
Directions
Step 1
Wash asparagus thoroughly and break woody ends from spears.
Step 2
Place asparagus spears in a metal pan or baking sheet that is safe for the barbecue. Drizzle canola oil and balsamic vinegar over spears.
Step 3
Grill for 5-7 minutes on high heat. Optional: asparagus spears can be removed from pan and placed straight on grill.
Step 4
Remove from grill and place on serving platter. Squeeze fresh lemon wedges on top of spears and ground pepper. Garnish with grated parmesan and sliced almonds as desired.
